What is ADAP?

ADAP: Assists individuals that reside in the State of Illinois.

AIDS DRUGS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (ADAP) is authorized under the Ryan White CARE Act, Title II and administered by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to provide low-income, uninsured and under insured individuals with access to HIV/AIDS medication. As a safety-net program and payer of last resort; to provide individuals who qualify, with services when they have no other resources.


CHIC: Assists individuals that reside in the State of Illinois.

CONTINUATION OF HEALTH ISSURANCE COVERAGE (CHIC)
Is a health insurance premium payment program to assist individuals with HIV/AIDS, who upon leaving their employment, were offered health insurance continuation through the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) or may have other individual/group health insurance coverage. CHIC pays up to $500.00 a month toward your premium payment.
